INDIVIDUAL CREATION OF ONLINE STORES
The implementation of an online store takes place either via a complete solution or an individual development. The latter usually uses individual standard components to implement certain functionalities. These include, for example, the product overview or the checkout. A complete solution, on the other hand, contains all the necessary functions and should usually be able to be used out-of-the-box. Product management, product access, product views, checkout and the connection of payment and logistics service providers are included as standard.
For most requirements, often also for complex e-commerce platforms, a complete solution is the better and, in particular, more cost-effective option. We will be happy to advise you on choosing the right solution.
SHOPWARE
Shopware is certainly the shooting star among online store systems at the moment. It has quickly established itself as one of the leading software solutions. Its advantage is that it is a complete e-commerce solution and can be run out-of-the-box. The latest version also includes all the necessary backend and frontend functions, as well as numerous standard extensions.
These include, for example, connections to payment providers or logistics service providers. Shopware now works headless and can connect any frontends via interfaces. The speed at which Shopware is developing and optimizing features as well as improving the software core is remarkable. For example, euronics, Philips and KOSMOS Verlag already rely on Shopware.
Magento
Magento was the de facto standard for implementing online stores. It was one of the first complete e-commerce platforms, had very strong support from the open source community and thus became the most popular self-managed store solution worldwide. This history means that Magento is still the most widely used software solution today.
However, the recent takeover by eBay and Adobe has led to some misunderstandings. However, the integration of Magento into the Adobe Commerce Cloud in particular has brought many new advantages, especially when viewed as a 360° suite and overall solution in the Adobe Experience Cloud. A large number of companies, such as Liebherr, Villeroy & Boch and hp, continue to use Magento.
