The right CMS for your project
The management of modern websites is unthinkable today without the use of an enterprise content management system (CMS). Editors must be able to change content dynamically, at any time and in multiple languages or with multi-client capability. Templates and standard elements should ensure that the presentation always corresponds to the corporate design and workflows and status functions guarantee that only what should be visible is visible. It is also necessary to be able to expand the software to implement customer-specific requirements and for additional interactive functionalities.
Many CMSs can now meet these requirements without any problems. And license-free open source software is in no way inferior to its commercial competitors. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, and normal application requirements do not pose a major challenge for them. This is proven by a large number of sophisticated references and application examples from large companies.MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN CONSULTING AND IMPLEMENTATION
We have been using TYPO3, Drupal and WordPress for years. With these CMSs, we cover almost all of our customers' needs. And the rest can be expanded individually, as we have discovered with over 20 years of experience in the CMS sector.
So that we can develop a tailor-made solution for you, we describe the implementation of the planned presentation and functionality in the technical concept. If you are still unsure which CMS is right for you, we will be happy to help you choose a system and check your requirements against various software providers.Once the path is clear, we start with the iterative implementation of your website. We pay attention to mobile and search engine-optimized development of the front end, but don't lose sight of the desktop version either. The implementation of the functionalities can be individually implemented in a sustainable and update-proof manner thanks to the integrated development frameworks. And a combination of user- and software-driven tests ultimately ensures that everything works as planned.
Overview of the CMS
TYPO3 is one of the leading enterprise CMS in the German-speaking world. It is very well established and is used by a large number of companies and agencies. It is valued above all for its high level of performance and the ability to expand it individually. Its strengths are particularly evident in the organization of multiple websites and different page trees.
Drupal, on the other hand, leads the international comparison. It takes a different approach to traditional enterprise CMS in some key functions. For example, it excels in front-end-driven content management or the organization of pages in taxonomies. Drupal is leaner as standard, but offers many options for expanding the system using standard or self-developed functionalities.
Although it is counted as a CMS in many statistics, it has never been able to completely shed its origins as a blog system. Only recently has it been given basic functionalities as standard, such as the management of content in page elements, which was previously only possible with additional extensions. As a blog system, it is often the first choice, but as a CMS for a classic corporate website, its use should be carefully considered.
Headless CMS
Headless CMS represent a special discipline. They manage content completely independently of a front end and subsequent display. This makes it possible to freely select the output channel. The content is provided via interfaces. These can then be used in static site generators or in conjunction with other CMS as a hybrid solution. Complex content migrations, e.g. caused by major updates to the CMS solution used or a necessary frontend relaunch, should no longer be necessary.
