The big CMS change with the Website Relaunch 2020
Goals of the website relaunch with Drupal
- Positive differentiation from the competition
- Bring viastore to life
- Secure, future-proof technology
- Interactive modules make the site interesting for users
- Connection & separation of viastore systems & software
We have been working with viastore for several years now and have already mastered several relaunch projects together. The last website relaunch involved major changes, as the content management system was changed.
After intensive consultation, we switched from a TYPO3 system to Drupal, as this system better reflects viastore's requirements for a CMS.
MOSAIQ is an important partner for us in digital marketing. Our website has become the central tool for all marketing measures. We have been working with MOSAIQ since 2008 and appreciate their reliability and commitment to ensuring that projects are implemented properly and goals are achieved efficiently. The agency convinces us because the team listens to us well and then delivers. If you want a reliable, good website that looks great, MOSAIQ is the right choice.
The new website should prioritise information and make it more accessible to users. With a convincing and user-friendly online presence as a premium and solution provider for intralogistics systems and software, viastore wants to reach more users, generate new leads and engage in dialogue with customers.
Strengthening digital internationalisation should create the basis for being able to respond better to individual users in the countries. For topics such as the careers section, the company should in turn communicate uniformly as a global unit on all country pages.
Realisation of the goals
New website, new possibilities
The switch from TYPO3 to Drupal opened up new possibilities for viastore in terms of content utilisation and preparation. From a purely technical point of view, the pages were created in such a way that a lot of content was maintained once and automatically displayed. The content could thus be linked directly and pages could be filled with related topics and teasers without much editorial effort.
The viastore company is divided into two business divisions that operate independently of each other globally and can serve different markets and languages. This places special demands on the CMS's multisite functions, which we provided for in Drupal.
Interactive
modules
The website relaunch is characterised above all by the number of interactive modules and special content. As we had the opportunity to review a large number of documents and existing content, this gave rise to many ideas for interactive modules of all kinds.
Some applications from the viastore trade fair stands also served as the basis for interactive modules.
Automated applicant management
The corporate website is also an important part of viastore's employer branding and is the first point of contact for job seekers. To simplify the application process, viastore uses external applicant management software.
Of course, the workflow should still be automated, which is why interfaces ensure that job vacancies are imported from the software and displayed in the appropriate layout on the website.
24/7 operation
In addition to developing the CMS, we are also responsible for the reliable operation of the hosting infrastructure. Failure-free accessibility is essential, especially for websites that make an important contribution to lead generation and need to be available globally.
The server architecture at Amazon Webservices ensures high availability and enables unlimited scaling of the platform at any time.
