For many years, we have supported KOSMOS in the conception, design, technical implementation and operation of digital marketing. KOSMOS wants to offer its customers the opportunity to find out more about its wide range of products. It goes without saying that the numerous items can be purchased directly online.
In addition, KOSMOS wants to position itself as a guidebook and toy brand. The main website was therefore designed as an online store, which is also intended to provide additional, informative content. In addition, further topic-specific platforms were created, e.g. for the dog and horse sectors, in order to address the very heterogeneous target groups more precisely.The new website needed to present the various products clearly and concisely. The numerous guidebook topics, variety of books and toys and webinar offers also had to be brought into focus.
A personal login area had to be created for users to manage watch lists and orders. In order to better highlight authors, it is now possible for users to get to know them better via their individual profile pages and discover more of their products.The digitization of a publishing house
In order to meet the special technical requirements of a publishing house, Shopware was chosen for the online store. This provides a powerful basis and the freedom to implement additional functionalities. A connected TYPO3 allows the provision of editorial content.
A variety of functionalities and interfaces to other systems ensure the smoothest possible operation of the online store. At the same time, they ensure the best possible user experience:
Theme websites: Dog and horse
The wide range of products creates particular challenges when it comes to reaching target groups. They are very different and it is difficult to address them in a personalized way via one platform.
This is why special themed websites should address this particular problem. On the one hand, they are integrated into the KOSMOS brand world and ensure direct recognition. On the other hand, they address the special topic in such a way that the target group feels directly addressed. For the implementation of the two themed stores, the layout of the previous main website was adapted and given a facelift. Newly developed logos help to differentiate between the various portals.

Special topics, special target groups: By developing suitable personas and customer journeys, it was possible to develop navigation structures and information architectures that are easy and intuitive for users to use.
